Letter From the Chairman

The BID in Pompton Lakes has adopted as its main goals the revitalization of the retail areas of Pompton Lakes. We are trying to accomplish this goal by concentrating in three areas: marketing, visual improvement, and economic development.
Marketing efforts have led us to establish an interactive Web Site that is just now in the testing stage. It will be operational shortly and will among other things, afford all commercial establishments an ability to advertise and promote themselves. The BID has also conducted surveys with local businesses as participants and is compiling data designed to assist existing and prospective businesses benefit from the experiences of their piers. Architectural Review

Introduction
The Borough of Pompton Lakes is currently implementing and encouraging a program to improve/redevelop the streetscape and image of the Business District, in order to attract new business and shoppers.
Hence, there is a need to have design criteria regulations and an Architectural Review Board to help and guide the prospective developer, store owner and design professional, to facilitate a smooth Improvement/ Redevelopment process.
